We are currently looking for a SQL Server Database Administrator who has strong knowledge in the following technologies:
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in database administration
§ Certifications will add value but are optional
§ Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
§ Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
§ Experience in MS SQL SERVER 2008/2005/2000 database administration
§ Experience in SQL Server High Availability
§ Experience in SQL Server Replication, Log Shipping, Backup/Recovery, Disaster recovery and planning
§ Maintains and implements the Company's databases
§ Assists data users and applications development teams during execution
§ Resolves conflicts arising over creation, control and use of data and develops and enforces the use of database guidelines
§ Coordinates with other IT infrastructure departments to ensure that associated hardware resources are allocated to the databases and ensures high availability and optimum performance
§ Monitors the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
§ Provides trend analysis to the support team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management
§ Evaluates enhancements for better reliability, maintainability and performance of the databases
§ Ensures availability and optimum performance of databases supporting the system
§ Resolves any issues that may arise with the databases and escalates the same to the Team Lead if required. Conducts regular improvement and maintenance activities of the databases to include rollout and upgrades
§ Maintains regular production databases, clone sites / DR sites / streaming & database backups
§ Maintains and installs streaming technology and conflict resolution
Salary package
Up to AED 12,000 (tax-free)
Family medical and dental coverage (spouse and up to 3 children)
Annual ticket allowance for employee
30 calendar days of annual leave based on gross monthly salary
Permanent contract
End-of-service gratuity pay
Annual bonus
